Taxi from Beirut to the Cedars and Bsharri
The Cedars of God grow above Bsharri, at the top of the Qadisha Valley, about 130 km from Beirut. It is a long mountain drive, and many visitors prefer not to do it themselves.
The drive from Beirut to the Cedars
The first part follows the coastal highway north. The road then climbs inland through mountain villages to Bsharri, with views over the Qadisha Valley. The Cedars are about 6 km past Bsharri. Plan on two and a half to three hours each way.
From mid-December to around April, snow covers the Cedars and the upper road can be icy or slow. If you are travelling in winter, tell us your date early and ask about road conditions when you book.
