Taxi from Beirut to Faraya and Mzaar
Faraya and the Mzaar Kfardebian ski resort are about an hour into the mountains from Beirut. In winter the road gets busy and icy, so many skiers book a car with a driver instead of driving up themselves.
The drive from Beirut to Faraya
The road leaves the coast at Jounieh and climbs through Kfardebian to Faraya and Mzaar. With a clear road it takes about an hour; on winter weekends, when everyone heads up at once, it can take much longer. Leaving Beirut early helps.
Ice and snow are common on the upper road in winter. Tell us your ski dates early, and ask about the road the day before.
